INTRODUCTION

The issue of food sustainability and security is becoming increasingly critical in today’s world. With global population growth and the impact of climate change on food production, it is vital that we address these challenges and work towards ensuring a sustainable and secure food supply for future generations. In recognition of this, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu through Faculty of Fisheries and Food Science (FPSM) and Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries (AKUATROP) is hosting the Food Sustainability and Security International Conference (FUSE 2025), which aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange knowledge, share research findings, and explore innovative solutions to these pressing issues.

FUSE 2025 provides a platform for participants to discuss the latest advancements in food sustainability and security, including sustainable food production, food security policies, innovative technologies, and interdisciplinary research. The conference seeks to facilitate collaboration and networking among participants, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment for the exchange of ideas and information. Through this conference, we hope to contribute to the global effort to promote sustainable and secure food production, distribution, and consumption, and to enhance international cooperation and understanding in this vital field.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE​

  1. To provide a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners from various fields to exchange ideas and knowledge on issues related to food sustainability and security.
  2. To promote and raise awareness about the importance of food sustainability and security in the global context.
  3. To showcase the latest research findings, best practices, and innovative approaches related to food sustainability and security.
  4. To facilitate collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders in academia, industry, government, and civil society to address food sustainability and security challenges.
  5. To identify key research gaps and opportunities for future research and innovation in the field of food sustainability and security.
